uNMR-NL coordinated by Marc Baldus has been awarded almost 18 million euro from NWO’s National Roadmap Large-Scale Research Infrastructure. The uNMR-NL facility, set up with a central NMR instrument with unprecedented capabilities (e.g. the 950 MHz instrument installed in 2015) will now be expanded to a nation-wide grid of high-field NMR centers throughout the Netherlands. Novel instruments and important upgrades will be installed. In addition the program will foster exchange between local centers and user groups. This nation-wide grid will support diverse research areas ranging from disease studies and the discovery of new medicines, to improving crop production and food quality, and novel materials for energy storage and conversion.
The grid is an initiative of uNMR-partners Utrecht University, Wageningen University, Leiden University, Radboud University and COAST.
